The LHC's Work on the Higgs Boson

The LHC was designed to run at energies up to 14 TeV, and we haven't been able to do that yet. The work to get there has taken two years and over a million man hours. It's like putting your car in for a service but just overhauling every single bits. And what we want to do in Run 2 is to find the first clues as to what that might be.
