Some of the more recent generation of systems are focused on this very data orient at approach, or sometimes data acid orient ad approach. It will handle that dependency graft to insure that these tasks are run in sequence. But without adding in additional logic and additional ems, you're not going to have any concrete guarantees about whether the data that you care about is actually going to be processed properly.
