The album features quite a bit of cut up interview audio mixed in with the music. Singer Claritori belts out an opening phrase that's among the most famous melodies ever recorded. The great gig in the sky is absolutely a Richard Wright joint, particularly knowing what a big jazz fan he was. It's a show-stopping performance by a then 25-year-old Tory who came in cold and improvised the whole thing in a couple of takes.
