The Power of Confessional Scenes

A lot of scripts don't use the supporting characters as windows into what's emotionally happening with, with the main character. Like old man, Marley gives us an opportunity to hear out of Kevin's mouth. My favorite confessional scene ever is in Toy Story. The confession kind of gives them the ability to go on to act three and be a warrior.
