The US-A-Cent Diving Decision to Take Down a Chinese Surveillance Balloon

US officials have been tracking this balloon for the greater part of a week. They decided to wait until it was about six miles off the coast of South Carolina before they finally shot it down with an F-22. It could be used as a teachable moment, but I think the Biden administration really just wants to prevent the relationship from deteriorating into outright confrontation or even conflict.
