Openings in Psychoanalysis
Psychoanalysis is not a science that is concerned with objectivity, with objects in the world. Its target is not objectivity, but instead what I called objectality. Objectality studies the condition of possibility for stuff that modern science can then focus on and study. The object of inquiry in psychoanalysis is also an opening at the level of the cause. It's a science of cause. That's why we talk about object as the object cause of desire. We're concerned with causes less so with effects,. Although many of the key concepts in psychoanalysis are effects.
