ES4 proposed features for meta object programming, which enables dynamic programming techniques like introspection and reflection. However, this proved to be too complex and was subsequently dropped from the proposal. Now 20 years later, we got them. I'm still working on my static analysis tool for ES4. This tool will make use of custom type or type like annotation.
