Aesthetics is the a handmade in the philosophy departments, right? everybody does other disciplines first, but I think there's something brutally crucial about The fact that as a discipline but also as a human experience it is intensely personal. It is somehow has this notion of connectedness And it's messy and that's what human experience is likeIt provides a basis for discussion and debate and agreement or disagreement in ways that other things can'tI feel like this is greatly enriching my life This aspect of connectedness I think is It's a big theme for Schlegel  and he pulls in the very aspect of language and communication through aesthetic as being a primary component of aesthetic experience.
