The Duty of Care for Hearing Voices
I was wondering if one of the things that is very hard for any clinician, whether in the NHS, nurse, doctor, whatever, psychiatric social, is this kind of duty of care. So that as soon as somebody says that they are hearing voices, there is something about how to respect that that person still has sanity. When actually what has been diagnosed is that this is a sign of insanity and it means that an intervention has to be made. Is hearing your voice always a sign?
