The whole point is, how can i be hospitable to the widow, the orphan, the stranger? How can i model what justice flowing down like rivers would be would look like in society? And when we confuse the freedom of trust with the freedom of nationalism, we're actively engaged in a corrosive inversion of the very thing we claim to represent. I don't know how to make sense of that internal to the freedom that i actually think christianity offers.
