What's the YouTube Algorithm Looking at to Find What to Watch Next?

When you search for something YouTube uses the best technology we can get from Google to make sure that that the YouTube search system finds what someone's looking for. The first real attempt to do that well was to use collaborative filtering, which is a way of grouping videos together based on their similar or related in some way. It puts all the videos that are in the same language together for instance and we didn't even have to think about language it just does it yeah. You end up with this graph that we call the related graph that basically represents videos that are very similar  in some way.
