A search warrant for the president's home has to be very specific. The government seized documents with classification markings, as well as any evidence of knowing alteration, destruction or concealment of government records. This was some pretty serious stuff. So we don't know exactly how the justice department knew there would be more information that wasn't just classified, but was considered top secret at the president's house.
