The Importance of Changing the Voting System
There is an assumption that if only we reformed the voting system, then everything would be okay. We want a higher degree of scrutiny of policies and better understanding of how power is actually wielded within departments. Changing the voting system will do nothing to improve the way we handle events such as Kabul or Sudan. These are the structural issues we really need to think about.
