Is There a Need to Democratize and Decentralize the Capitalist State?
The idea of democracy and capitalism, you know, don't go easily together. That said, the kinds of transformation that we might describe as necessary right now, are revolutionary, i would argue. The key will be to think about revolutions s and to think of them as multi scaler, multiple and appropriate to the places in which they unfold. We cannot have the fidelity to one notion of what is required. It's not often understood as a democratic process at all. And perhapsa cannot emphasize her lack of arrogance especially when it comes to radical politics.
