What Makes Someone Good at Coding?
In a new study, researchers found that language aptitude is more important than cognitive ability or IQ in learning to code. The research suggests coding skills are similar to foreign language skills and being able to pick up Mandarin or Italian easily. This raises the question: Should we be teaching coding like we teach natural languages? Or at the very least, can we debunk this idea that you have to be good at math to learn a programming language?
