With Boris Johnson, there's a statement of fact. So if you say, the Prime Minister said this thing and it is a lie, that's not something that straight reporters are sort of allowed to do by their craft. Ultimately, journalism did its job. I think actually factuality reasserted itself from the bog of post truth politics more thoroughly than seemed likely in 2019. The raw will and power of the great helmsman does not just decide what is truth and what is falsehood.
