Angelou's had an interesting system in place and I don't actually have a sense of sort of how many other birth centers might operate on this sort of schedule or model. But one of the things that's challenging about being a midwife is that when you're on, you're on,. You have to be on call 24 seven. If someone goes into labor, you have to be there. And so it is a really sort of intense thing for any frontline worker and certainly for midwives.
