Modernism and Abstraction

The most loved buildings and parts of cities are the ones that happened before 19 20. Abstraction is the removal of resolution, right? And i'm advocating for high resolution, which is just another say of moving away from abstraction. I think there's something in the human psyche that desires perceiving things at multiple levels of resolution.
