The Biblical Attitude Toward Pagan Deities

In the New Testament, the term shadim is translated as a dimonus from which we get the word demon. But that's not what the word meant in Greek. In Hebrew they use the word shadim for these foreign gods. When you use god with reference to pagan deities, it does not mean the same thing as when you use god in a monotheistic context. These by definition are not omnipotent. They're not omniscient. They are not all good. Read the mythologies.
