The Weot Tribe in Their Tribal Lands

The Weot Tribe, their ancestral territory goes all the way up to Little River in what is known as McKinleyville. Every year they would do a series of world renewal ceremonies at Toulawat Island on Humboldt Bay. A group of about 100 Eureka settler colonists came and brutally slaughtered women and children while the menfolk were off getting supplies for the ceremony.
