The Rise of Mis and Stereotypes in Prosecutors

The number of rape allegations recorded by the police has more than doubled over three years. But prosecutions and convictions have risen, but much more modestly. Some people may decide that they don't want to go ahead with a case. The conviction rate for rape is much lower than the conviction rate for crimes overall. In general crime we would expect 70% of cases in general crime to plead guilty, 30% not guilty. It's completely the opposite in sexual offences.
