The Hunger for Prayer in Crisis

Crisis is deeply linked to a hunger for prayer, both in the church and in society. When crisis hits, we are suddenly more aware of the brokenness of the world. The void we have been trying to fill with those things, suddenly feels larger. There is comfort in believing not only that there is someone holding this universe together, but who also deeply cares about us. And we start to try to communicate with him.
