Sterling is now close to parity with the dollar. The bank of england has been behind the curve in a way that makes the fed look credible. I'm not sure how well this plays out for Listruss, who sold herself as margaret thatcher's reincarnation. But you may remember boris johnson and how did that turn out? My sense is that this is much less like an disastrous boom-and-bust than when he was chancellor back in the early seventies.
