Vermeer's Paintings Are Small

Vermeer was an art dealer and he must have also dealt with flamish Italian paintings. Some of them might have been painted as a commission, really in a Catholic household. The interesting thing is then you get a painting in the same room, the Prokras from Dresden, which is a genre scene but still in large format. I think he succeeded in a brilliant way, making it possible for a lot of people - even though his paintings are small -- to see the show.
