The particle cetea accelerator that most people are familiar witha to day is the large hydron collider. How can you characterize, sort of the steps between where we were with rutherford and the getting to to day? O, so enormous, all history is my fat right now, a hundred yearsright? Right? The name of the game really is getting as many particles to actually hit each other and do something as possible with as much energy as you can muster.
