Jerome powell is the first non economist to serve as fed chairman in over forty years. He had a more positive view about block chain technology than his predecessorJanet yellen, who was an academic economist with a ph d. His stants towards crypto currencies seemed to change quite drastically when he became chair of the federal reserve back in 20 18. But that fed speak tone got a lot more assertive and clear in 20 19, and it was all spurred by a new crypto currency called libra.
