The first video game was patented in 1947 called the cathode ray tube amusement device, which involves shooting the souls at invading planes. The target was just manually placed on the screen and then you controlled the cathode Ray tube activity with knots. But the planes weren't doing anything because there was no computers to control them. You just physically would move them on the screen.
