The Essence of Narrative Is Time
I don't think it is possable, because no narrative can say everything. It story world that you need to understand it. And by the way, if you could get rid of all that, none of the contemporary audience would understand it. I've made films in a pentecostal church where people are trying to experience something in a different kind of dimension. The story propels them into a state of speaking in tongues where the language doesn't make sense. They there, they let go of a certain kind of logic, a certain type of story. We can't escape from the context that we bring to everything. So we bring time to anything. We look at in time.
