It was dwight eisenhauer, republican president and former world war too general, who coined the term military industrial complex in his last address as president in 19 61. It's essentially the argument george cannon made in 19 forty eight, right? And it has been a base line understanding of us. Foreign policy ever since. We want to keep as much of the world as possible open for business, for free enterprise, and that creates wealth and jobs here at home.
