The Role of Phosphor in the Global Warming Process

It's really weird to think of something like phosphorus or we think of it as the phosphate ion, right? It's just phosphorus with some oxygen stuck onto it and has a similar role on our planet as carbon dioxide. So phosphorus even plays a role today in our current kind of what we call anthropogenic activities. Some of that phosphate leaks off of farm fields, winds up in the Gulf of Mexico and causes these super fueled algal events which choke off any other kind of life there.
