The Importance of Suffering
Suffering is not going to be the right distinction. It'll have to be something like the end, the interests or the ends of the person who died were severely cut short versus the hyena was pursuing its ends. The fact that you enjoy doing something doesn't seem to reduce the gratitude that you're owed. I've got just one question left, Steve. Is there any set of circumstances in which you think it would be appropriate to have this kind of gratitude toward veterans?
