Chong Khorang: A Young Scholar's Journey
In one year's time, the scholar retraced the steps all the way to the stick he left in the ground. The path he remembered was too overgrown to find. As he wandered around the mountains as he did before, he listened for the march of hosts. But they never came. No Chong, no old friend, no reconnecting of their worlds. In many ways, time had made him more youthful, more spry. And when he lifted his chin, his students leaned forward, hoping for more.
