Tesla Insurance - What's Happening in Illinois?
Dealers are pushing back on this. They want basically just a flat rate across the board, whether it's warranty work or customer work. So in Illinois, Wisconsin and Montana, there's already been legislation put in place that requires automakers to pay the same rate that customers would be paying for that service work. There's talk here about similar legislation being in process in Colorado, California, Texas. If you look at a similar monetary impact scaled up six times, you're talking more than a billion dollars a year for additional costs on automakers.
