How to Pitch a Book to Media Outlets

i think with a story behind the story i've written a book can work for some media outlets. For example if you went to your local press and said i've written this book and it's about xyz they would be interested because essentially it's launching a new product. I was literally nursing my daughter and writing the first very rough drafts of my book on iphone notes. To this day that's my initial method and i'll dictate to myself looking like a crazy one walking down the street but that works for me. It is kind of showing the different ways of doing things just to be more specific on that work.
