Is Nationalism a Barrier to Class Struggle?
I understand some of the tensions in you know let's call it Marxism. Some people like but you know nationalism is obviously a barrier to class struggle since this is supposed to be intrinsically an international transnational global project. And I took you Davis to be saying something along the lines of that and the marks of the more subtle or sophisticated understanding of nationalism was about what it can allow you to do in specific historical moments. But he goes to the journalistic stuff so that actually marks did think about these questions and he did understand what role they could play in history and you know and in the context of social struggle.
