The economy was ten trillion dollars at that time, let's call it total credit market debt. We didn't have excessive debt on the household balance sheet or on corporate balance sheets. Corporations had very little debt coming out of the great depression. Nobody wanted to have leverage. And here we are with a stock market being massively inflated.
