The Risks of Using a Credit Card for Online Payments
Are there similar concerns when using debit card or e-checks for online payments to such things as utilities and other monthly or recurring bills? Depends on who the recurring bill or the payment would be, too. Fitness centers seem to get amnesia when you cancel and continue to debit your checking account after you're no longer a member. Some of them now charge a discriminatory monthly price because they're paying those credit card fees to the Visa MasterCard cartel.
