The End of History by Fukuyama
At the end of Fukuyama's book, he suggests that there would be no more art and philosophy because we've essentially arrived. But even to me, if we fully embrace this idea, like even if we suspend all doubt or all suspicion about the integrity of his argument, these things are not settled science. The way in which capitalism is going to function is not the same everywhere.
