i was a landing signal officer which means i was specially trained as uh... kind of authority to land on the boat with the my squadron airway. is that like how do you know how can you describe the difficulties and landing and taking off from an aircraft carrier yeah so i guess the best way to describe it is by talking over what we call the the ball at the lens landing system. You're constantly making corrections to the right because aircraft carriers are angled deck and so it's slightly moving to the right. It's never something you don't just get it one day, he says.
