The Mac Mini 8 and the M1

In the pc world it was always a deep discussion of which processor you have and what it can do. Apple in general just not really talking like they talk about the m1 and the m2 but iphone is responsible for this. If you're using a modern mac it's not really how long does something take to launch anymore, how long does it take to render 8k video? i don't understand why Macs feel so much faster with almost every part including what we used to call the bus.
