A Book Review of Stranger's Ethiopian History
He learned the difficult ethiopian language, oharik, one of several. He worked as a translator, including it the challenging job of simultaneous translating for diplomatic exchanges. For some years he ran a business, a type of livery stable, offering horses to tracks across northern ethiopia. Any looking into ethiopian history is rewarding, because it's packed with fascinating episodes,. much different than the monotonous, unimportant and depressing history, or rather non history, of most of africa.
