Roxanne Jones: Poems allow you to wrestle with a question without having to have a particular set of answers. "There is no single answer, there is no right answer," she says. She writes about the impossibility of why can't we hear like a bomb going off in Israel right now when it is happening simultaneously to maybe someone's first kiss? In Counting Descent I'm wrestling with what it means to be a parent in this moment and so that is a sort of theme that emerges in so much of my work in different ways"
