I wasn't sure if that was what people wanted. Did they want books set in New York? Is that going to help the books sell better? But fortunately, after hearing readers talk about this book, I think a lot of American readers are actually very interested to hear about the Vietnamese diaspora in Canada. And so it's just nice to see what Canadian struggles are like versus American struggles.
