The Problems With AI Tools in the Internet Age

I think there are a couple problems with AI tools, even those branded not to replace but to assist writers. The material that they're blurring and approximating and using to train themselves is coming from writers who haven't sold their work for those purposes. All the samples I've seen are so trite and boring and downright embarrassing. Most readers want to see play and innovation and real thought put into how words are structured into sentences on a page.
