Maverick uses mood lighting to create the illusion of late afternoon or almost sunset, which wasn't actually there. Every outfit and car that our leads are wearing, you'll see there is a consistent 50s, 60s inspired aesthetic. Maverick's bomber jacket: "I just want to sell this idea we can basically reduce it to the 70s" Charlie's Porsche: "The color of her hair and stuff is very much like pin up pin-up Marilyn Monroe inspired." Her makeup: "She has an older skin tone than I have ever seen in my life," she says.
