The Case of Judge Crater and June Bryce

Joseph Crater disappeared in 1930. His wife allegedly found an envelope containing money and insurance policies after he went missing. Some believed that the judge had chosen to vanish rather than have been a victim of a crime. In 1939, Joseph Crater was legally declared dead; his case was closed in 1979.
