The Fallacy of Equivocation

The red herring fallacy is characterized by bringing up something unrelated or mostly unrelated to your point in an attempt to distract from the real issue. A loaded question is one that doesn't really have a correct answer because there's an unjustified or controversial assumption, baked into it. The Gish Galp fallacy gets its name from a skilled young earth creationist debater by the name of Dwayne Gish.
