When deonone first came out, go did already support arm 64. There wasn't a darwin slash arm 64 port yet. So at they needed to add some glu code to essentially make those two work together. And i think the other majore work they had to do was the whole thing about signing bineries. Because m one was the first machine that required old bineries to be sign so they had to teach to the linker how to sign biners locally.
