The Importance of Keeping Clientele in Mind When Designing Your Curriculum
I think it's a common mistake that instructors, especially highly competitive instructors kind of paint all of their students with the same brush. We know that martial arts tend to be dominated by hobbyists. So if you're only catering your programs to the 10% of people in your gym who really want to go all in on this, then you're potentially alienating the vast majority of your clientele. There's nothing wrong with not wanting to take jiu-jitsu to that level. I mean, I'm a hobbyist.
