The Importance of Imagining the Event That Didn't Happen
After three interviews, 70% of my participants had full false memories of committing crimes that they didn't commit. The first detail I ever got, blue sky. Now that sounds like nothing but it indicated she was buying into the idea that she was picturing the event that happened. All of them were police contact and allegedly the police had called their parents, which is how they found out.
